Roadmaps for Energy” project participated in the MyWay Final Workshop

The city of Murcia, participated in the "MyWay Final Workshop" on February 18th 2016, representing the European project “Roadmaps for energy (R4E)” consortium. During the workshop,  the participants had the opportunity to see the interesting results of the MyWay project first hand.

The work done during the project, as well as the tools created, will contribute to the progress of, as well as enrich, the "Roadmaps for energy (R4E)" project. The findings will be made available to the 8 cities and 2 universities that form the consortium: Eindhoven (Netherlands), Istanbul (Turkey) Tallinn (Estonia), Newcastle (UK), Palermo and Forli (Italy), Sant Cugat del Vallès and Murcia (Spain), and the two universities UPC Barcelona and TU Eindhoven.

The aim of the "Roadmaps for energy (R4E)" project is to create a roadmap for each of the following three areas: Smart Mobility, Smart Buildings and Smart Urban Spaces. These roadmaps contain specific projects, structured around a timeline, that will have the political commitment necessary, as well as being consistent with the strategy of the city. The project is following an innovative methodology based on a hands-on approach using participatory "workshops", involving area-related policy makers, technicians, municipal experts, private companies, leading organizations and local associations. Consequently, a single composite view is agreed upon, of how the buildings, mobility and public spaces of these cities should be, in a medium to long term time span, and what activities and projects should be implemented to achieve this goal.

MyWay Final Workshop, 18 February 2016, Barcelona (Spain)

The final workshop of MyWay project took place in Barcelona on 18 February 2016. MyWay App remains alive for cities and regions that would like to adopt it.

During the MyWay final workshop, that was held in Barcelona on February 2016, a number of invited presentations were performed illustrating the context for development of multi-modal journey planning and information services, including the reference deployment framework, i.e. the European ITS Directive priority action (a), some relevant experiences undertaken in Europe, the point of view of public and private mobility service providers, the visions and expectations from the navigation and in-car services industry. In addition, the project team presented its policy recommendations related to data, real-time travel information, intermodal solutions, involving the end-user, as well as various entities in the app’s lifecycle, providing quality functionalities, and stimulating behaviour change. The lessons learnt in the framework of the three MyWay Living Labs – Berlin, Catalonia and Trikala-, as well as from the involvement of end users, were also thoroughly discussed in the interactive afternoon session.

The final programme of the Workshop is available here. The presentations are available as pdf files. Some photos of the event are also available here

MyWay demonstration of an innovative journey meta-planner: Launch events in each Living Lab (Catalonia, Berlin, Trikala)

The fully functional MyWay App is now available for download and it has already been successfully presented at the #mobilitat2015 in Barcelona (16 October 2015). Within the next weeks it will be also presented in Berlin (in front of the TU Berlin Auditorium on Thursday, Oct 22nd, 10am - 3pm) and in Trikala (details will be announced soon). The project now starts the testing phase with real users, which will last until the end of the year. The App includes a journey META-planner, which includes all modes of transport: public transport, private car, e-scooters, own bicycle, bicycle scheme sharing or taxi and many others available. Moreover, the MYWAY App takes into account the users’ preferences and profile in order to propose the different combinations, provides real time information, the possibility to activate the ‘trip follower’ with the replanning of the trip and booking of some mobility services like taxi or e-scooter.

MyWay app available to download

MyWay launched its smartphone app, which enables the efficient and comfortable multi-modal travelling according to user's needs and preferences. The APP is available on both Apple and Play stores. Give it a try! For more information and downloads, please visit
